UWS leaders at the Rudd Government's Australia 2020 Summit
A contingent of 8 UWS staff and students, including the Vice-
Chancellor Professor Janice Reid, were among the 1000 of the nation's best and brainiest who participated at the Australia 2020 Summit.
Further to that, at a recent community cabinet meeting in Penrith which
was held Tuesday, 15 April, Prime Minister Kevin Rudd foreshadowed that
UWS is positioned to play a key role in Australia's education
revolution.
UWS and Polaris Software: Creating global opportunities
UWS has entered into a unique partnership with global
multinational company Polaris
Software that will ensure that the community of Greater Western
Sydney is at the forefront of corporate advances in science and information technology. Polaris Software is one of the largest global information technology solution providers to major financial institutions and is in the process of establishing a software testing lab in Sydney.
The MoU includes joint development of a short course on software testing for
industry participants and the development of an elective unit on
software testing for UWS undergraduate students.
